Meet my wife, she is always right

It might not have helped because if a woman doesn't want to accept your suggestion she can either just ignore the verse you thought applied saying it is trumped by another verse or the doctrine of her church. She will then pick another verse to prove herself right even if it means writing a new one or misquoting an old one from the original double dutch.
The odd thing about the theory that the Bible is of purely male human origin is how come the 10 commandments don't include, "Make love with your husband three times a day so he doesn't stray" ? Maybe it did and the real story about Moses coming down the mountain was that when Zipporah read it she told him to fuck off and threw the tablets down shattering them ?
Pope Francis' idea of threatening to punch anyone who insults your mother doesn't seem like a good idea in marriage where a wife says severe things of her mother in law, a more diplomatic solution might be needed, such as turn the other cheek or asking them to zip it and focus on something else. Distract them with the promise of a holiday or new clothes. While empathizing with their hurt feelings. [ Corrections welcome ]

The Great Spirit in the sky is a lie

Skrillex & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley - Make It Bun Dem [OFFICIAL VIDEO] on Youtube has had 124 million views. It shows what you could imagine would happen if there was a real Great Spirit - but how come the supernatural didn't help the native American Indians from the time the Europeans arrived up until now ? This chap is taking a leap over the probabilities if he expects faith in the supernatural to help pay his bills. How is it not imagined that the Great Spirit would give him the winning numbers to the national lottery or just miraculously credit his account, thereby turning the sheriff away peaceably ? Why didn't the Great Spirit give him the skills to get a higher paying job ? Maybe what happened here is that the house occupier tried to follow the parable of the 'shrewd' manager in Luke 16 and found out that if you cancel the debts of your master's customers without asking him he will not commend you but will more likely have you arrested for fraud and that will be a black mark on your reputation making it harder to get a new accounting position ?

John W Loftus Vs David Marshall on the Justin Brierley show

I liked the John Loftus Vs David Marshall debate and could make out everyone clearly enough.
I thought it was a fantastic debate as advertised in the first minute by Justin.
David Marshall agreed at 14:00 that there is value in looking at all the religions then come and see who Jesus is.
The Bible does in fact briefly mention several points of view:
Acts 17v18 mentions the Epicureans & Stoic philosphers but doesn't specify their view.
Acts 23v8 mentions Sadducees who thought there was no resurrection and that there are neither angels nor spirits, But the Pharisees acknowledge them all
It takes skill and a certain temperament or training to stay as calm as Justin in presenting a show.
In daily life many times I see people (myself included) seeing the red mist rage over far less weighty matters; day to day material concerns.
I listened through the "Unbelievable?" show again and John Loftus spoke at the following times:

Parable of the weeds

Which verse in the Bible mentions removing as many weed seeds as possible ?
Matt 13v29 has Jesus saying that the owner of a field," told his servants to leave the weeds alone in case they pulled up the wheat." How come Jesus never thought of selective herbicides, now that would have been prophetic. How come God didn't influence the genes of the weeds to make them only grow small, that way they could still provide nectar & seeds for wildlife yet not interfere with the crop for human needs.
Matt 13v30 has the owner advise the servants to go at harvest and first collect the weeds, tie them in bundles and then gather the wheat but in real life that would not be sensible. If using a sickle you would cut the whole lot and throw the large weed plants aside as you went along. If using a combine you would spray roundup to kill the whole lot so it would be dry to go through but there might be seeds of a certain size which were difficult to remove from the wheat grains. In Bible times when there was only hand winnowing there would be a whole load of seeds that might have remained in the wheat, some if eaten could be harmful to health.
Matt 13v26 "When the wheat sprouted and formed ears, then the weeds also appeared" but weeds mostly appear around the time of wheat sprouting, certainly long before heading. Also why would it need an enemy to sow weed seeds when there are always so many in the soil seed band. However it does happen eg wild oats among the purchased seed or weeds seeds blowing in or carried in on machinery.
In any case CO2 is essential plant food and the increase so far has mostly been beneficial to plant growth & contributed to crop yields.
The real issue here is why the world has not increased the proportion of nuclear power stations, which are a dispatchable supply. It is pitiful that the total stock of nuclear power stations has actually decreased over the last two decades. People need to make up their mind which is the bigger threat; possible global warming or possible nuclear disaster. For intermittent sources of electricity like from wind turbines or solar there would need to be invention of grid scale batteries - this is not even close to happening. It would be different if all countries were like Norway or Austria with high mountain lakes for hydro-electric or if the wind blew at a constant 20mph. For a national electricity grid supply must match demand at all times. For this reason fossil fuel power stations are on spinning reserve with their boilers running constantly ready for winter & night time when solar doesn't work or ready for calm weather when the wind turbines stop

Mao Tse Tung

In approaching a problem a Marxist should see the whole as well as the parts. A frog in a well says, "The sky is no bigger than the mouth of the well." That is untrue, for the sky is not just the size of the mouth of the well. If it said, "A part of the sky is the size of the mouth of a well", that would be true, for it tallies with the facts.

Let the stones be turned to sand

I think one of the best ideas in the Bible is John 8v7," But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept questioning him, Jesus said,"If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away, one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left. Jesus asked the woman,"Has no one condemned you?".
She replied,"No one, sir"
"Then neither do I condemn you" Jesus declared"
If Jesus is considered by Islam to have been a prophet then maybe verses like these should be spoken of more often in the Mosques ?
Maybe by writing in the sand Jesus was illustrating how scriptural texts can be blown away in the wind, the winds of change can move the shifting micro sand dunes but love and truth remain. Maybe on the basis of John 16v12 Jesus thought truth could be progressive," I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth."
Romans 13v9 says,""Love your neighbour as yourself". Love does no harm to its neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law"
How is that during the Medieval Roman Catholic inquisitions to combat heresy there was so much violence done in the name of Christianity? Did priests bring people to focus too much on the tales of Kings, Chronicles & Judges about the Israelites conquest of Canaan and severe laws of Leviticus ? Maybe history would have gone differently if priests had focussed on the verses about forgiveness and love. 1 John 3v14 "We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him"
1 John 4v8 " Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love"
Here is a tolerant verse from the Koran about how to treat those who do not believe its message:
Surah 15:3" Let them eat and enjoy life, and let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know!"
I think this is similar to that attitude," We have told you what we think and it is up to you to decide, it is at your risk to reject what we say."
Could present day Muslims learn something from studying the history of Christianity and by trying to avoid its mistakes ?
Ally said he has heard the Jehovah Witness story but he failed to mention the important point that Jehovah Witnesses think that there is no hell, instead they think unbelievers cease to exist. In my opinion this is a more compassionate, humane view, if is formally called "Annhilationism"
John 3v17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."
1Timothy 4v10 we have put our hope in the Living God, who is the saviour of all men, and especially of those who believe.

Surah 15:3 Let unbelievers eat and enjoy life,

According to the Quran, Here is what Mohammad said his fellow arabs said to him.

Surah 15:6 And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! thou art indeed a madman!
Surah 44:14 And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman ?
Surah 37:36 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet ?

Surah 8:31 And when Our revelations are recited unto them they say: We have heard. If we wish we can speak the like of this. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old.

So how can any present day Muslim claim to be surprised or shocked when they hear such things said now a days ?
Maybe the moderate reply would be with
Surah 15:3 Let unbelievers eat and enjoy life, and let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know! 15:43 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place.
Why not just shrug and let it go? "It is your risk, we just want to warn you."

WWJD ? - Preach short sermons. Sermon on Mt takes 30 seconds.

By far the best way to enjoy church is to think religion is almost certainly fantasy fiction.
Only go when it is a family service & the sermon will be minimal with no communion.
Just enjoy the tunes & ignore the sermon, chat to the people about sport, hobbies, travel, family, work. Or you could chat to them about evidence for evolution, fossils, what things were like in their county 300 million years ago. Or for a studious game think of all the reasonable doubts against Christianity and see how many the Pastor mentions in his sermon. It will be a miracle if he scores above F.
Many churches are struggling to get enough people to attend. Maybe ministers would get on better if the asked WWJD ? Take a leaf out of Jesus book, his sermons were less than five minutes long. Probably this is why people who listened on the shores of Galilee said,"Jesus Christ, that sermon was really great, 2 minutes flat, all our previous Rabbis rabbited on for an hour. " (Sermon on Mt took me 30 seconds)
For an example as to how unobservant and slow to learn ministers are look at how for 1900 years they have read Acts 20v9 about how Paul's long boring sermon led to Eutychus falling asleep and fatally falling from the high window sill, yet they haven't learned from that and shortened their sermons.
Maybe they should try ditching the sermon altogether along with prayers since they don't work & lyrics to the worship music since they are quite repetitive and boring after the first time through. Instead get several people to each give a 2 minute talk on a piece of music, book, film or event they found inspiring.
This could be a talking point afterwards at the coffee bar, others could say,"Oh, I read & enjoyed that book too"
Maybe the reason that churches are reluctant to do this is because the minister fears the member will say some things which don't comply with the church doctrine? Maybe its because the member is afraid to admit to reading a book which the minister or elder will scold them for reading ? Maybe people would rather just be anonymous in church and go home again ?

***K

If OUP was going to ban the ***k word then if would need to ban the Coran
From skepticsannotatedbible/quran
( I wonder if 5:3 makes allowance to eat pork?)
Surah 5:3 Forbidden unto you (for food) are carrion and blood and swineflesh…. This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion al-Islam. Whoso is forced by hunger, not by will, to sin: (for him) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:60 Shall I tell thee of a worse (case) than theirs for retribution with Allah ? (Worse is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen and of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine.
Egyptian myth and legend by Donald A. Mackenzie,p107 says,”The ancient Egyptians regarded the pig as an unclean animal. Herodotus relates that if they touched it casually, they at once plunged into water to purify themselves. Swineherds lost caste, and were not admitted to the temples. Pork was never included among the meat offerings to the dead. In Syria the pig was also “taboo”.
On the other hand, the Gauls, who regarded the pig as sacred, did not abstain from pork. Like their kinsmen, the Achaeans, too, they regarded swineherds as important personages;these could become kings. The Scandinavian heroes in Valhal feast upon swine’s flesh, and the boar was identified with Frey, the corn god, the Celtic Khonsu, had a herd of swine and their chief was the inevitable black pig.
In the Golden Bough, James Frazer shows the pig was tabooed because it was at one time a sacred animal identified with Osiris. Once a year, according to Herodotus, pigs were sacrificed in Egypt to the moon and to Osiris. The moon pig was eaten but the pigs offered to Osiris were slain in front of house doors and given back to the swineherds
Like the serpent and the crocodile, the pig might be either the friend or the enemy of the corn god. At sowing time it renedered service by clearing the soil of obnoxious roots and weeds which retarded the growth of the crops, however when the farmers found the wild boar routing tender corn they apparently thought it possessed by the spirit of Set who was the enemy of the corn god Osiris.
There were originally two moon pigs – the “lucky pig” of the waxing moon and the black pig of the waning moon. These were animal forms of the moon god and the demon who devoured the moon – the animal form of the love god and the thwarted rebel god; they also symbolized growth and decay – Osiris was growth and Set symbolized the slaughter of growth.

The Coran is fables, oh no it is not, oh yes it is

The Coran is a fight over nothing, there is little substance or worth to it, no advance in technology, yet it repeats over and over the format:
Unbelievers say Mohammad’s stories are fables and lies but it is the unbelievers who lie. It doesn’t try to find reasons to support it’s position but rather tries to win by repeated assertions and threats.
Well why not let everyone take their chance? If the Coran is fables then there will be no hell to worry about.
Maybe Mohammad should have asked,”Has anyone got reasonable doubts? Am I mistaken? corrections welcome, where does the evidence lead?”
Examples from skepticsannotatedbible/quran
8:31 And when Our revelations are recited unto them they say: We have heard. If we wish we can speak the like of this. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old.
16:24 And when it is said unto them: What hath your Lord revealed ? they say: (Mere) fables of the men of old,
16:39 That He may explain unto them that wherein they differ, and that those who disbelieved may know that they were liars.
16:105 Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah’s revelations, and (only) they are the liars.
25:4 Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie.
25:5 And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening.
25:6 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth hath revealed it. Lo! He ever is Forgiving, Merciful.
25:7 And they say: What aileth this messenger (of Allah) that he eateth food and walketh in the markets ? Why is not an angel sent down unto him, to be a warner with him.
25:8 Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat ? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched.
26:136 They said: It is all one to us whether thou preachest or art not of those who preach;
26:137 This is but a fable of the men of old,
26:138 And we shall not be doomed.
26:139 And they denied him; therefor We destroyed them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.
68:15 That, when Our revelations are recited to him, he saith: mere fables of the men of old.
83:10 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (83:10-16)
Those who reject Allah’s revelations will burn in hell.
83:11 Those who deny the Day of Judgment
83:12 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor,
83:13 Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old.
83:14 Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts.
83:15 Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord.
83:16 Then lo! they verily will burn in hell,
83:29 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed,
83:30 And wink one to another when they passed them;
83:31 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting;
83:32 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray.
83:33 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.
83:34 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers,
83:35 On high couches, gazing.
83:36 Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do ?

Are Christianity & Islam falsely shouting "fire" in a crowded theater ?

http://genius.com/Christopher-hitchens-on-free-speech-annotated
Christopher Hitchens begins his speech with a reference to “Shouting fire in a crowded theater” which is a popular metaphor for speech or actions made for the principal purpose of creating unnecessary panic. The phrase is a paraphrasing of Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.’s opinion in the United States Supreme Court case Schenck v. United States in 1919, which held that the defendant’s speech in opposition to the draft during World War I was not protected free speech under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
I wonder if both Christianity and Islam are crying fire, creating panic where there is no need? Where is the evidence for the fires of hell ?
If someone falsely cried fire in a theater but no fire alarm bell was heard then people might ask if it was a prank. With so many test alarms now people might doubt it and ask if it was just another test ? In modern times schools and work places carry out practice exits to try to give the habit of calm procedure.
If most were educated to a high enough standard in history of science, history of religion, comparative religion, etc and were aware of the reasons to think the scriptures were largely fictions then they would be more likely to ignore the cry of “fire” by priest & Imam.
IMO it would be good if the world would say Mohammad was the last prophet because Allah was senile, got cancer and died in the 7th Century therefore the Coran ceased to apply after the 7th Century and we will just have to make up new & better rules now as best we see fit; to maximize human well being and minimize human suffering.
A related Wikipedia article on Surrey Music Hall says: In 1856 religious services were held at the Music Hall by the famous Baptist preacher, Charles Spurgeon, with an audience of 10,000 inside and as many outside unable to enter. It was marred by tragedy when someone shouted fire, and a panic to escape ensued. Seven were killed in the crush, and many injured.
[How come Spurgeon had no ‘word of knowledge’ to call the alarm a hoax? How come not enough calm to exit in an orderly manner? How come no quick prayer for angels to extinguish any fire ?]
The music hall was destroyed by fire in 1861

What is truth anyway ?

I agree with Dr Hassain that the pen can be used for the good of humanity and also to ruin it. However mistaken ideas won't harm you if you recognize their error. It can actually be quite amusing to look back at the earlier ideas in science and religion which are now shown to be wildly wide of the mark.
People round the world need to spend their time reading through the whole spectrum of ideas instead of doing physical or verbal violence to others.
I like the riddle in Matt 5v43 "You have heard it said 'Love your neighbour and hate your enemy' but I tell you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"
Sometimes it is difficult to know who is your friend and who is your enemy. Can a friend sometimes give advice that isn't in your best interests and can an enemy sometimes give advice which would be good for you? Is truth always our friend, do lies always harm ? What is a lie anyway, something not quite true ? How can we work out what is true ? Maybe we experience a mixture of love and hate towards those around us depending on what they have just done. We agree with somethings our spouse says and disagree with other things they say.
By the scientific method which has evolved over the last few hundred years our knowledge of the world about us has advanced greatly. We have discovered millions of bits of information about the natural world which the Koran could have predicted but didn't. Neither the Bible nor the Koran predicted the industrial revolution nor any of the technology essential to 21st century civilization. The scriptures did not advise how to make optical lenses for correcting eyesight nor did they describe how to build microscopes or telescope in order to discover things like germ theory or stellar parallax.
Religion tried to gain healing through prayer but modern medicine uses a system of repeatable experiments: Make the medicine, administer and hey presto the person gets well, if the medicine does not work then try altering the drug or make another one..
It is quite interesting to read through the Koran. This can be done at skepticsannotatedbible/quran website. I just looked up Surah 68 and I see that in verse 2 Mohammed tries to assert that he is not mad but everyone else who rejects his message is:
"68:2 Thou art not, for thy Lord's favour unto thee, a madman.
68:5 And thou wilt see and they will see
68:6 Which of you is the demented.
68:15 That, when Our revelations are recited to him, he saith: mere fables of the men of old.
68:16 We shall brand him on the nose.
68:51 And lo! those who disbelieve would fain disconcert thee with their eyes when they hear the Reminder, and they say: Lo! he is indeed mad;"
In fact I think the term "mad" is not helpful because the advances in human knowledge have been hard won by careful observation and sometimes lucky breaks. For many things there is no clear answer but just many possibilities. Isn't each of us a mix of brilliant & mistaken ideas. How can we escape the worst ideas which would ruin us ?

Internet can be a great help

I mostly disagree with the main points of this video made by Nicholas Carr, the author of, "The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains,"
Wikipedia is like having a brain transplant when compared with pre internet times of just sitting in your house wondering about stuff or asking your family for the answer and they are like,"Doh, can't remember the details". Well in the past people could have invested in a good quality encyclopedia if they could afford it. With broadband when your family ask you for an answer you still might not be able to remember the details but at least you will know how to get the details in a second - either by google box or webpage. There is an overwhelming amount of detail, was human evolution ever going to enable us  to remember so much ? Now we have facebook and twitter and iphone if you are with someone in a cafe and you can't remember the funny things you saw yesterday you could look up your personal notes - facebook timeline to remember - and actually show the person the video or let them hear the song instead of hopelessly trying to describe it.

I'll tell you what real life is like without computers - you go to a party or group meeting place, with the background chat or music you don't hear the name of the book/person/group the other person told you or you find you forgot it 5 minutes later after they were gone or you have no way of listening again to what they were talking about because you can't go out and buy every last video they talk about. Now if you remember something of what they said you are quite likely to be able to find the trail to the good thing.

Look at all the music of Youtube - you can search through and find the best bits and then read about the history of the musician on wikipedia and go to their website and book a concert or buy their track and give them some money. In the past who could afford to keep buying the whole album when you really only liked one track off it. Of course that can work the other way too when people only share tracks without paying but then there could be a donate button on the musicians website - but then why not just buy a track ?

See the books by Valerie Tarico, Victor J. Stenger, John W. Loftus, Robert M. Price and you will be able to escape the iron age mentality about religion that still holds sway over too many people who remain disconnected from the internet or who still only use it for e-mail to repeat parrot fashion what their ancestors told them.

Maybe shallow is the new deep, cause a lot of deep it just deepity.

Sinner's Prayer

Wikipedia article on Sinner's Prayer:
The “Sinner’s Prayer” is not without its critics. Because no such prayer or conversion is found in the bible, some biblical scholars have even labeled the sinner's prayer a "cataract of nonsense" and an "apostasy".. David Platt has raised questions over the authenticity of the conversions of people using the sinner's prayer based on research by George Barna.[
The sinner's prayer:
Highly educated person: "I'm sorry, I didn't know what I was saying, it was just how I was brought up but I've heard most points of view now. I confess that I think Jesus may never have existed & the stories about him are likely mythical. I doubt there is a God or supernatural realm, I don't believe the Bible is a message from higher beings and have read many reasons to think the claims it makes are wildly unlikely. In fact it looks like mumbo jumbo from a superstitious pre-scientific people. There are other more relevant things to study -like anything- but more specifically family, holidays, work, sport, hobbies, history of science & technology. "
Voice of reason:"Congratulations. With you I am well pleased, you are on your way to heaven on Earth"

Saturday 3 January 2015

Is the Bible made up of texts the authors had dumped in their bin ?

If Jesus could see what science has discovered then if he was honest he would say,"Ooops, If to err is human then I am completely human. Sorry folks, the Babble is mistaken on so many levels. the 21st century has brought me down to earth. Speaking of which, it is humiliating that neither I nor any other of the other Babblers predicted 21st century technology or knowledge. In fact I thought the world was going to end before my first dozen disciples died - in the 1st century"
On the other hand maybe Jesus would say, "Well if you must go raking through peoples waste paper basket. All those ideas were my on draft copies. I reread them and thought,'No that's just daft' and binned them. Someone must have found them at the tip and palmed them off as my greatest works. Damn it, I knew I should have got the disciples to make notes of the finished speeches I gave. Maybe having forgotten, they offered big money to anyone in the crowd who had a copy of what was said - then folk went mad when they heard money was on offer and bought the notes off the black market, stuff that fell off the back of a lorry, bin lorry that is"
John 14v26,"But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you ALL things and will remind you of EVERYTHING I have said to you"
So how come Jesus never corrected the mistakes of the O.T or filled in the missing details or even started to tell us what has been discovered in the last 1980 years? Is it because there is no Holy Spirit or supernatural realm ?
In Ben Love's aritcle section A- actual or historical errors, 2nd last paragraph he quotes Lev 11v21 error about insects having four legs. I laughed when I saw a website that actually went down the path of excusing it by saying insects have two arms and four legs. errancy.org/insect-feet.html
There are multiple ways that any idea can be viewed and seems almost no limit to how they can be twisted. One persons pro is another's con.
Maybe as long as a person has said the sinners prayer then it doesn't matter if they don't believe a word in the Bible ? Who can agree what it says ?

In the Pink: Parody on Pinks version of "Over the rainbow"

Somewhere over the spectrum
Of better ideas
There's a blog that I heard of, debunking christianity
Over at John Loftus' website
The skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Are much more likely to be true

I read DC and saw the stars
Woke up and found the clouds of religion  far below me
Their troublesome ideas melt like snow flakes.
High above the religious smog
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over at debunking christianity
Freebirds fly
fly free knowing the spectrum of ideas
Soar so high, so can I

If happy free thoughts fly
Beyond the rainbow.
Why be caged by religion's lie ?

Parody on "Be thou my vision"

Science be my vision and reason be my guide
thanks for 21st century technology by my side
we are much better off than folks who went before
the wonders of the world are what i adore

When my number comes up I think I shall rest
in cosy non existence for that seems the best
to let people suffer, after they die
would not be loving and I hope its a lie

for Jesus to be a hero he would have needed to cancel hell
If he had rescued everyone he would have done well
but just to change the jailer would be some sort of sin
and what if there never was a hell from which people to win ?

I can imagine a god behaving much better than the one in scriptures
One which explained modern knowledge in words & pictures
One which 6000 years ago gave the medicines that we need
One which right now delivered the solutions we plead

One person's meat is another's poison
One person's melody to another is noisesome
It doesn't hurt to be specific and say i don't like that bit
But it is generalized & exaggerated, rude to say it is shit

Sometimes I adore you but sometimes I need a break
Some things about you give delight others seem to grate
sometimes in agreement but other times battles we rue
If you don't speak politely I'll translate it for you
